I’m beginning to feel like one of those ladies who lunch. Except I don’t have a million dollar wardrobe or a sugar daddy husband paying for lavish meals with my fabulous girlfriends.
With all of this free time, I’ve gone on various lunch dates. Lunch with Deanna at the cute, casual Artichoke Cafe in Midtown West. Lunch with Mune at Roebling Tea Room in Williamsburg where we shared a delicious apple salad and the must-try cheeseburger that we sliced in half (I sort of caved on my no-red-meat rule). Lunch with Jon at Lillie’s in Union Square. Can’t beat the $10 burger and a beer deal (I chose the chicken sammie). I’m lunching with visiting friends and lunching with friends who live here.
At every lunch I enjoy fantastic conversation and catching up. It gives me the opportunity to try new restaurants and return to my favorites. Pretty soon I’m going to turn into one of those self-proclaimed foodies — OK, probably not.
Speaking of lunch and food, I just bought ramen noodles for the first time since college. I had a very funny moment in the grocery store as I grabbed two packs. They were only $0.39.
Now accepting applications for that aforementioned sugar daddy husband!
